Memorial Hermann Hospital Sarofim Plaza

Commissioned by American Art Resources

This commission by American Art Resources of Houston was comprised of a series of 16 panels for Memorial Hermann Hospital’s Sarofim Pavilion, completed during the pandemic and located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. A multi-paneled piece provided a solution for art placement along a curved wall in one of the lobby spaces in the hospital new wing.

The painting’s image source was from a photograph I took of the flowers in the lush landscapes along New York City’s High Line Park taken during the summer of 2018.

High Line No. 2, 2019, acrylic on 16, 16” x 12” Clayboard panels, 32.5” x 99.5” overall.

Detailed images of the individual panels are below.

The Commission Process

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with esteemed brands to create commissions for the hospitality, technology, and healthcare industries, as well as with individual collectors.

The commission process begins with a conversation to understand your vision and the story you want to tell. Typically, I submit a proposal with a selection of prospective images from my collection of photographs with pricing estimates based on the size and scope of the project. Once we agree on the details, I create a preliminary digital image for approval before I begin to paint. Throughout the painting process, I will provide progress images throughout the painting process.
