This ongoing series features a collection of small artworks created on various types of paper, inspired by my observations of the surrounding environment. Similar to a field study, these pieces are intentionally unrefined and are not meant to be overly precious or representational. Each artwork serves as a form of meditation, allowing me to engage with multiple surfaces simultaneously through both delicate, meditative marks and broader gestural strokes. These explorations capture the beauty of what lies outside my window, whether in the Hudson Valley or during my travels, across all seasons. This series provides a unique opportunity to slow down, observe closely, and appreciate the extraordinary aspects of everyday life.
