Spring Study No. 2

This body of work is an ongoing series of studies created as I observe my environment - similar to a field study. They are not meant to be precious. Their construction is a form of meditation as I work on multiple surfaces at a time using both small meditative and broader gestural marks. They are explorations of what’s outside the window on any day, any season whether I’m in the Hudson Valley or traveling. These studies present an opportunity to spend time observing, to slow down, to pay attention to what makes the ordinary extraordinary.
